I'm new... What can I expect when I attend Redwood Hills Church?
We recognize that going to church for the first time or attending a new church can be a little intimidating, especially if you aren't sure what to expect. We would like your experience with us to be an enjoyable one, so we've tried to anticipate and answer some of the questions you might have to make you feel more comfortable.

What should I wear?

We tend to be very casual in our dress. Wear what is comfortable for you!

What will the service be like?
As you come in feel free to sit wherever you like. Some intentional communication will be showing on the screen just before the service begins. The service will then typically follow this order: As our band takes the stage, everyone will be asked to stand and they will open the service with a song or two, followed by an opening prayer, and then a few more songs that reflect God's goodness and grace in our lives. Feel free to sing along as the words are projected on the screen or simply listen and let the words affirm God's love for you. After the singing someone will come to the stage and share the intentional communication for the day. We'll take a 5 minute intermission a good time to refill your coffee cup. After the break, we'll come back for the talk. Each talk is designed around a relevant topic using biblical references with practical application. Notes for the talk are projected on the screen and also found in your program. Often the talk will incorporate a creative element such as drama or multi-media. A prayer will follow the talk and the band will return for a final song. An offering will be taken at this time. Please feel no obligation to put anything in the offering. As our guest, we want you to relax and enjoy the freedom of not giving. The service will run for about one hour.

Will I need a Bible?
No. Most of the scripture references will be projected on the screen and provided in the notes.

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out in any way?
Nope. We will do our best to never put you on the spot, single you out, or embarrass you in any way.

I have kids. Will there be something at your church for them?
You bet! We have a safe, fun-packed and purposeful program designed for kids of all ages. Nursery/toddler care is provided both services. Kid's World is for children kindergarten to age 12.

Wondering about God... In our experience, there is a great deal of interest these days about spirituality and about this man named Jesus, who changed the world profoundly. We've designed Redwood Hills to be a casual, informative and welcoming place that encourages questions and helps people in their spiritual discovery process, wherever they may be on their journey.

Redwood Hills has been built from ground up with you in mind. If you are investigating Christianity or looking to take the next step on your spiritual journey, then these services are for you. The atmosphere is casual and we just plain like to have fun building relationships with each other. We aren't interested in putting any financial pressure on you - we just want to be a resource for you in your spiritual search, and we hope to have the opportunity to meet you sometime soon!

Your spiritual search is your most important mission in this life. In truth, there's no such thing as "spiritual life" - there's just "life," and your spirituality is in every part of it. So finding the door to spiritual truth, opening it, and walking through it makes up the most significant journey you can ever undertake, for on the other side is just spiritual life, but life itself. Keep your mind open... To begin the journey of spiritual exploration in honest way and with integrity, we suggest a simple prayer before you visit. Just pray, "God, I don't even know for sure if you are listening to this, but if you are, I want to find you. I honestly want to know the truth, whatever it might be. If you exist, please show yourself to me."
