City of Kirkland Park Cleanup - Next Cleanup: April 24, 9-noon at Kirkland Juanita Park [see details below for details and the next park cleanup dates!]: Redwood Hills partners with the City of Kirkland Parks Department and Green Kirkland to improve our local parks, streams, and forests. By taking the time to serve our community, we make our city beautiful and provide new ways for our neighbors to experience God's creation. This is a great opportunity for anyone who desires to serve their community in a way that cares for our earth and makes the parks in our city more beautiful. Dinners for KITH [see details below for the next KITH dinner dates!]: Redwood Hills is proud to partner with Kirkland Interfaith Transitional Housing (KITH). KITH assists individuals and families on the Eastside who are facing a homelessness crisis by providing housing and services to help them become stable and self-sufficient. Every Tuesday night at the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland, KITH hosts a community dinner that bring these needy families together for a great dinner and encouragement. On a regular basis, Redwood Hills provides this meal and encouragement to our neighbors in need. MOPS: Mothers Of PreSchoolers (MOPS) is a very important piece to Redwood Hills’ outreach to our community! MOPS meets at Juanita Elementary School on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. The meeting gets started at 7PM and goes until 9PM. For more information, please contact Christalle Hamilton (christallehamilton@verizon.net). Holidays at Seattle Union Gospel Mission: Every holiday season, people from the Redwood Hills community step away from their own holiday dinners to serve the homeless at the Seattle Union Gospel Mission. By taking time from our own celebrations, we become more aware of God's love and generosity to those in need. This is a fun and great way to spend Thanksgiving or Christmas night! New Serving Our World Oportunities:
New Orleans Mission - May 26-30, 2010
We are very excited to announce our third trip to New Orleans and the St. Bernard Parish where we have partnered with some great people and organizations in helping restore houses. It's been five years since Katrina devastated thousands of homes, business and people lives. There is still a huge amount of work to be done there and we're both grateful and excited to be a small part of what God is doing in restoring those lives. For details simply sign up at the Resource Bar, or email Kristin Myers (themyers@w3email.com).
Redwood Hills is actively seeing new ways to serve in our world with our voices and our actions.
To share new opportunities where Redwood Hills can serve our world or learn more about our vision for serving our world, contact Rex Hamilton (rex.h@redwoodhills.com).
Swaziland, Africa: We are very excited about a new opportunity to serve in Swaziland, Africa. We have partnered with local pastors and leaders to help the people of Swaziland to attain sustainable life through education, housing and agriculture. Through this partnership, we speak and serve those who suffer from HIV, hunger, and poverty in this country.

What is Redwood Hills helps?
RHChelps is a simple way for our church community to help each other and those in our community around us. We see this as a way for us to practice living together with each other and live generously to our neighbors. – 2 Corinthians 9: 10-13 NIV.
